But if you back it up a bit, you see why it's "not traveled"--for today at least!
At least it's a change from the drought of last two years. Kind of makes me wish I was...

Hope you'll be able to get out soon, Charlene! The road to your house it beautiful, otherwise!
ReplyDeleteThe longest we've ever been flooded in is a couple of days--that's been years ago, but I don't remember the flooding ever being quite this deep. After two years of heat and drought, the creeks, rivers, ponds, etc, are finally full and overflowing and the ground is saturated so there's no place for the water to go.
ReplyDeleteKind of fun, so far--let's just hope it drains before the fun wears off!
Louisiana has really taken on some water lately. Our pastures are under, but home is on a hill. I hope y'all are able to "travel" that road soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes the rain has been a BLESSING for us all!
We used to live in a little town that frequently flooded. It was fun for few days. Kind of like living out our Swiss Family Robinson fantasies. But still,I hope your flood doesn't last too long, Charlene!
ReplyDeleteWell, this was definitely a short & "sweet" flood--some roads are still under, but ours is fine now--hoping some of the run-off soaks in to replense the ground water. Our pastures are growing like mad right now, and ponds are full for the first time in 2 years or more-thankfully!
ReplyDeleteWow--that is some flood! But I like the duck, and hope you make it out soon!
ReplyDeleteWow, there are parts of our town that get like that. Thank you for linking up to Garden Tuesday!
