And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. John 10:22-23
Hannukah, the Festival of Lights, the Feast of Dedication--celebrated by the Light of the World.
Until next time...
I see that you received no comments on this one...hmmm. Even though you gave the scripture reference, and Yeshua(jesus)kept this amazing feast, it is not well received with the mainstream christian community. We left off christmas 14 years ago and have never looked back...the days that G-d chooses for us to keep are so multi-dimensional and amazing, without all the man made trappings that cheat us of the true meaning and spirit of each Holy Day. Thank you for posting this, and I pray that somehow G-d will plant a seed in each heart who passed this way and read your post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! I do find that when I post anything really Biblical or "spiritual" that I get few, if any, comments. I appreciate you letting me know you stopped by! We do keep Christmas, as well, to a degree, but these days it's so commercialized that I have a hard time feeling that I'm doing anything religious. Hanukkah, on the other hand, represents to me the true miracle of the bringing forth of the Light out of the darkness.
